LVE Support
Keep the edit moving.
The essentials for importing, stock search, local captions and export. LVE requires macOS 14 or later.
Import
Bring media in
Drag video or an image onto the empty canvas, use the toolbar import buttons, or select multiple files in Finder and open them together. Multi-import appends compatible clips in selection order.
- Open or create a project.
- Choose video, audio, images or drag files in.
- Move, trim or split clips directly in the timeline.
Pexels
Connect free stock
LVE uses your own Pexels API key. The key remains in macOS Keychain and requests go directly to Pexels.
- Create a key at pexels.com/api.
- Open LVE Settings and paste the key.
- Select Save & Test Connection, then search in Portfolio → Stock.
Captions
Generate locally
Captions require the optional approximately 142 MB Whisper model. Once installed, speech recognition stays on your Mac.
- Open Settings → Local auto captions.
- Select Download Model and let it complete.
- Choose a media source, language and style in Captions.
Export
Finish as MP4
Export the whole edit or create named ranges with IN and OUT points for multiple files. If an export stalls or you chose the wrong range, select Cancel Export; incomplete output is cleaned up.
- Use Export for the complete timeline.
- Or mark IN / OUT and save named sections.
- Choose a destination and keep LVE open until complete.

Email [email protected] and include your macOS version, Mac model, LVE version, media type and the exact action that failed. For an export issue, include clip codecs and the approximate timeline length. Never send API keys, passwords or confidential source media.

Data control
Remove optional data
Remove the Pexels key in Settings. Remove the Whisper model under Local auto captions. Delete projects, exports and Portfolio media from their saved locations. Keychain Access can remove any remaining LVE credential.

Preview before publishing
Automated captions can make mistakes. Media codecs vary. Always watch the final MP4, check caption wording and confirm that you hold the necessary rights for every source asset.
